I’ve been off work for over a month and was supposed to start a new position on Monday. However for good reasons, will be off until the start of April!!!
I have pretty much run out of stuff to do. You can only wash your cars so many times without driving them.
Good practice for COVID19 I guess.

Maybe what you need to do is play some Farmville!!!

I don’t have facebook lol.
I do love myself some games, but after a month? I’ve played a lot of CIV and built a minecraft palace....

I bought an xbox in preparation for quarantine boredom . You can never be too prepared.

Yeah. At least in a quarantine situation, my wife will be here too. Just spending day after day home alone SUCKS. lol

There were flights to Kona last week for $198 RT. I almost did it.
Boredom here, too. Interviews have ground to a halt, I am on the short list for a couple but now in a holding pattern. Tweaked my leg so not going to the gym til next week. Time to find something on Youtube I guess.

I had to call the employer who was expecting me to start on Monday and tell them I would’t be coming in. That was a hard conversation.
The waiting is the worst part of all this. I’ve been watching a lot of documentaries. Ken Burns Vietnam, WWII in colour, etc.

Cleaning and maintaining. No no no, you are doing this all wrong. The vehicle should covered in filth and in need of some care by the time you go back to work.

Mine is out of the country working for at least several weeks, by which point it might be difficult to travel back. She’s perfectly safe but I have no idea when I will see her next. I also anticipate working from home a lot in the near future and cannot single-handedly keep Seattle’s restaurant and bar scene afloat while others stay home. I am extremely bad at sitting around doing nothing. Hence: xbox.

Do you have a gaming system? I have found Wreckfest to be fantastically entertaining and great value.
And if you want to dive into the dark dark pit that is Youtube, you cannot go wrong with Failrace. His videos are fantastic quality and always involve very close wheel to wheel virtual racing . Other than the first heat, this video was a particu larl y good one.

Gas and insurance cost $$$. Gas for the ST is over $4 a gallon and insurance is $40 a day on permit.

Around here every major corporate employer is effectively shut down. “Work from home”, but we know there won’t be much productivity. Schools closed everywhere , traffic volume on my fairly busy street maybe under half of usual, and I heard of a couple hundred lined up at a local Costco this morning. Weird times.
Too bad so many hobbies are expensive, and travel as well.

Geez I dunno, roll some matchbox around in the frozen dirt or something. Must be some kind of trouble you can get in that is entertaining without being actually trouble.

But you’ve got Targa, so you’re not alone, right? Spoil that dog, take lots of long walks, go to parks Targa hasn’t been to. Any dog bars there?

$4 a gallon? Are you running race fuel?

ha! I’d 100% consider it if I didn’t have to leave Canada.
I lose my EI/UI if I leave the country

This doesn’t make sense; you play Civilization. How could you be out of things to do?

Now you've gone and done it, first there was a run on toilet paper, now it will be gaming systems, maybe decks of cards to play solitaire with next.

I have an idea for you to consider... When I’m bored, sometimes I like to go on the internet, find an interesting Lego creation, and try to figure out how to build it based on pictures. It’s like putting together a puzzle, but more fun and satisfying because it’s Lego.
If you don’t have much Lego of your own, there’s a very popular free program called LDraw that you can use to build virtual Lego models. If you wish, you can then use the program to help you create a parts list so you can order the parts from somewhere like Bricklink and build the model IRL. Or you can create a render of the virtual model, because it’s compatible with render programs. https://www.ldraw.org/
